Instant Energy Juices
Purple-coloured Ice-candy (Serves 4)

Plums greatly improve the strength of the liver; they are a traditional remedy for constipation and have a cooling effect on the entire system. 

Makes: 4 moulds

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plum juice (blend peeled plums in a blender)
  • ½ cup powdered sugar (unrefined)
  • ¼ -cup milk (skimmed)

Method

Mix and freeze into a mould. Once set remove from mould and serve with sliced plums (optional).

Tangerine Lassi(Makes 2 glasses)

Ingredients

  • 1 glass tangerine juice
  • 1 glass Lassi

Ingredients

  • s1-cup low fat yogurt
  • 5 teaspoons sugar(unrefined)
  • 4 cubes ice
  • Combine all ingredients and blend in a blender.

Method

Mix the tangerine juice and the Lassi. Serve.

Kiwi Crush (Serves 2)

Vitamin B3, C, beta-carotene, fibre, potassium, malic acid, flavonoids, iron, phosphorus, salicylates, zinc

Ingredients

  • 4 kiwi fruits peeled and sliced
  • 2 green apples cored and cut
  • 1-cup grapes

Method

Place ingredients in a blender and whiz until smooth.

Chilled Chamomile Tea (Serves 2)

Ingredients

  • 2 chamomile tea bags
  • 1 Lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • Ice cubes

Method

Infuse 2 teabags in 2 cups boiling water for 5 to 10 minutes. Add honey and lemon juice. Cool. Add ice-cubes and serving.
